 I have to admit that I’m an extremely lazy person. Even when my friends want to meet me, I will suggest dvd marathon at my house (so that I can slack at home) or simply catch a movie at the nearest mall. When it comes to school work, I do put in a lot of effort in my projects BUT still, I’ll often wait till the very last minute before deciding that it’s time to start on them. That’s how lazy I am. I’m always procrastinating.

If you take a look at my to-do-list, you will be shocked with the number of items in them. In fact, sometimes I can’t even remember when I bookmark it and then, the list gets longer and longer. It’s either I get distracted with other fancier baked goods or I’m too lazy to make them. Today, I’ve finally decided to stop procrastinating (for once) and try to clear part of the to-do-list.

Most of you will agree that muffins are of the easiest and quickest to make among all other baked goods. Instead of bringing out the mixer to beat the butter and suger to light and fluffy, muffins simply needs the wet ingredients to be poured into the dry and then fold, that’s all. However, the folding technique is the key to the texture of the muffins thus, I think there’s still a need for some skills to make yummy muffins which is something I lack.

Don’t you just hate it when you can’t fit into your pants or when you feel that the clothes are simply too small to fit into anymore? Well, I’m experiencing such problems now. Every morning, I have to spend like 10 to 20 minutes just to decide on what clothes to wear because it seems like the clothes are a little too tiny for my ever expanding waistline now.

I’m glad the weekend is finally here because it’s been a terrible week for me and I simply need some rest from everything else. I didn’t want to bake anything complicated because I know I’ll definitely screw them up. In fact, I don’t even feel like chopping butter, weighing flour/sugar or washing the dishes after everything. I need something quick and easy but gives me satisfaction at the same time.

The first thing that came to my mind was of course macarons but the idea ( or hassle) of precision makes me drop the idea. Then I remembered meringues, the easily forgotten “cousins” of our favourite macarons.
