I finally understood why my mum always says that when one is not in the mood, it reflects on the food he prepared. Well, it’s so true, don’t you think?

As I reached home earlier than I thought, I quickly set out my tools and start on macarons making again, thinking that I can give them to my friends later. Things go pretty well TILL the whole batter spill onto the table when I was trying to scoop the batter into the piping bag. Anger is the only word to describe my mood as I hate my clumsiness. I had to throw the rest of the batter away since more than half was gone and there’s no point in wasting money on electricity bill just to bake that few pieces.

The macarons madness continue to grow in me and I’m already thinking of experimenting with new flavours like sesame, espresso, coffee etc. But the sad thing is, I will have to stay away from the “exotic” flavours until I get myself a food processor or blender.

When I first started out baking, there was a macaron craze among the food bloggers I visited. Of course, I was immediately entice by this cute little jewel looking sweets. At that time, I “bookmark” in my mind that one day, when I’m more skilled and confident, I’ll try baking macarons.

About 6 months ago, her mum bought her an electric tabletop oven after pestering her mum for years. That day indicates the start of her crazy obsession with baking where her first product was a box mixed muffin which turns out horrible and her family members were simply reluctant to consume them.
